The Willbrook Diamond Residence complex in Varna spreads over 32 decares

The investor will invest 40 million euros in the construction of their first project in Bulgaria

altThe first project of the international company Willbrook Management International, based in London, will be realized in Varna. The 40 million euro investment is in the construction of a high-class closed complex Willbrook Diamond Residence, located in the northern direction above the Trakata area and next to the Varna – Vinitsa road, on the site of a former military unit, the investors announced last week at the official presentation of the project at the Evksinograd residence.
The complex covers an area of almost 32 decares. It includes the construction of a total of twelve buildings with 146 apartments, one of which has public service functions. The apartments will be offered in a fully finished condition. The total built-up area of the complex is 31,306 sq.m.
The project for the complex is by the architectural bureau Ivo Petrov Architects, led by the architect Ivo Petrov. The contractor is Daytron – Varna. The supervisor is BGI Project. The complex is scheduled to be completed by July 2009.
All buildings in the residential group offer a beautiful view of the Varna Bay, with the individual volumes arranged in a chessboard pattern and at different altitudes. A composition of single-story and three-story buildings is sought, connected in structure. Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 11 consist of several multi-story volumes, while buildings 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10 consist of a single volume, explained by the design firm.
What distinguishes building 1, with a built-up area of 4300 sq.m, from the other buildings is that it houses the areas with public functions for the complex – a sports complex with a SPA center, fitness center, pool, changing rooms, reception, lobby bar, a restaurant with 100 seats, a conference hall with the necessary service areas, two shops, and two studios with access from an external staircase.
It provides a direct connection to the underground garage, where 42 parking spaces are located, distributed in two areas.
A total of 205 parking spaces are provided throughout the complex. Access to public service areas is ensured, as they are designed at ground level – restaurant and conference rooms. The fitness center and pool can be reached either by elevator or at ground level from the south side of the building, where the basement exits to the ground. All residential sections of the twelve buildings are equipped with elevators. On the ground floor without stairs, housing units have been created with the possibility of purchase by disabled people. Given the high requirements of the investor, a high level of waste collection organization has been applied in the complex.
Regarding the vertical planning and communications in the complex, an entirely new site infrastructure will be built, with optical cable providing high-speed internet connecting the buildings in the complex. The landscape design includes several mini-golf courses, numerous children’s playgrounds with various attractions, including a chess playground with attractive figure sizes, a mini amphitheater.alt
The investor Willbrook Management International has been operating in Eastern Europe since 1998. The company specializes in office and residential construction and management, focusing on the construction of high-quality mixed-use facilities in prime locations. It is also one of the first real estate companies in Eastern Europe to create green buildings. Willbrook’s central offices are located in Bucharest, and the company has branches in London, Prague, Istanbul, Warsaw, Sofia, Riga, and Tbilisi. Currently, Willbrook is developing projects with a total mixed area of over 3 million sq.m, valued at over 6 billion euros.
The designer – architectural bureau Ivo Petrov Architects Ltd., was established in 1990 in Pleven for the design of public, residential, and industrial buildings – from urban planning developments to interior and design. Today, the company has three offices in the cities of Sofia, Pleven, and Varna.
The project contractor Daytron – Varna, is a privately owned company established in 1994, engaging in a wide range of activities in the construction industry.
